Freeman Group, Inc. Garners Highest Overall Score in 2nd Milwaukee Magazine Best Builders Survey

Cedarburg, WI - June 19, 2003 - The Freeman Group, Inc. scored a 93 out of a possible top score of 95 in Milwaukee Magazine's July 2003 issue Best Builders survey. The 93 score was the highest score recorded in the survey covering 46 Milwaukee area builders.

Aggregate scores after the survey tabulations were done ranged from a high of 93 to a dismal low of 46. Milwaukee Magazine's stated that a ranking of 71, for example, was, "in about the middle of the pack, scoring on average just below 'good'."

Milwaukee Magazine's went on to say, "How customers perceive service correlates strongly with how they perceive construction quality, (the) survey found…builders who got high marks for questions relating to the quality of their customer service - communication, timeliness and so on - also got high marks for quality of the building itself…customers who rated their builders high on either…were also more likely to recommend the builder to a friend."

About Milwaukee Magazine's July 2003 Best Builder Survey

Milwaukee Magazine's second review of the Best Builders in the Milwaukee area used independent homeowner ratings covering a wide range of topics from home quality to customer service. Customers were contacted via mail survey from an Amerifax Data Corp. list of people who had recently built new homes in the six SE Wisconsin counties (Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha).

Customers were asked to rate their builders and new homes on 19 different categories. The categories included budget accuracy, contract allowance items, builder response after construction, and at least nine categories related to the homes structural quality. The rankings ranged from a 0 for unacceptable to a 5 for excellent.

Survey results were tabulated based on the 600 questionnaire responses. All 46 builders in the article had survey responses that were ranked, but 18 smaller area builders were not included in the final tabular results due to not making the survey cut off limitations. Given that statistical limitation, Milwaukee Magazine stated, "The following 18 builders definitely made a good impression on their customers.... based on the enthusiasm of homeowners who did respond, they might be worth checking out."
