Cedarburg's The Freeman Group, Inc. scored a 93 out of a possible top Score of 95 in Milwaukee Magazine's July 2003 issue Best Builders survey. The 93 score is the highest score recorded in the survey covering 46 Milwaukee area builders.

Milwaukee Magazine's second review of the Best Builders in the Muwai4cee area used independent homeowner ratings covering a wide range of topics from home quality to customer service. Customers were contacted via mail survey from an Amerifax Data Corp. list of people who had recently built new homes in the six southeast Wisconsin counties (Milwaukee, Ozaukee; Washington, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha).
